The
Guild sponsors a spring quilt show in April every year in conjunction
with the Azalea Festival in Muskogee, OK. This is a great show to spark
community interest in our art, and we've been told it is one of the best
quilt shows in the area! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reaching Out Kick-off! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To help us celebrate Valentine's Day and the month of "LOVE," we have invited two of our local charity groups to share with us how the MAQG Reaching Out program impacts their organization. Every quilt created by the Guild is done with the intention and hope of making a difference in someone's life. You will be blessed and encouraged to hear how LOVE―wrapped in the form of a QUILT―has touched so many other people. There will be some Reaching Out quilts at the meeting that only need labels attached in order to be given out. What a perfect way to show our community connection in the month of LOVE with our Reaching Out program! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SPRING CLEANING GUILD YARD
SALE!
It's
time for some SPRING CLEANING! Clean out those closets, and unload
those shelves, we are going to have a Quilt Guild Members Yard Sale!
Bring your UFO's and quilt related items to meeting to see if you can
get any “takers” but be sure to bring some cash, because you may
be a wantin' to buy! Bartering is encouraged.
It
has been awhile since we have had a yard sale so let's cover the
basic rules.
Items
for sale need to be quilt, fabric art, or craft related items.
There
is limited room (¼ table for each member until the room is full) so
if you have “bigger” items, bring a picture with a description
and leave it in the car to pick up after the sale.
Just
like a Yard Sale at home - bring some $1's for change and bring your
items priced.
If
it's too junky for you to consider purchasing, it's too junky to
sell.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We'll be getting ready for the Quilt Show and going over last minute details for the Boutique.

a great way to celebrate the 2012 quilt show. Beverages and tableware
